- Man United Sill Looking To Raid Napoli.
- Real Madrid Eyeing Kylian Mbappe.
- Ryad Mahrez Signs For Al Ahli.
Manchester United are on the hunt for a new striker after Cristiano Ronaldo left the club by mutual consent last November with Victor Osimhen on their transfer shortlist. Napoli wants a £103.8 million (€120m) release clause inserted into a new contract.
The Nigeria international, 24, scored 31 goals for Napoli last season, including 26 in the league. That helped the Italian giants lift their first Serie A title in 33 years leading to several top European clubs, such as Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Paris St, Germain keen on signing Osimhen.
It’s believed that Osimhen is willing to sign a new contract, as Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is refusing to sell him this summer, yet the striker wants a release clause inserted into his new deal to allow him to fulfill his “dream” of playing in the Premier League. Osimhen has just two years left on his existing deal and Napoli doesn’t want to risk losing him on the cheap in a year’s time.
Chelsea have previously been linked with Osimhen, but it’s Man Utd who are most in need of a striker. Christiano Ronaldo left Old Trafford last November and was temporarily replaced by Wout Wheghorst who has since returned to his parent club.

In an interesting development, Manchester United are chasing the signatures of highly rated midfielders , Jack and Tyler Fletcher from their neighbors Manchester City. The twins are the sons of the Red Devils’ technical director Darren Fletcher, but that relationship is not the reason for this pursuit, as the club rates the midfielders rather highly. The 16-year-old twins have enjoyed a good time within the Manchester City academy and remain on schoolboy terms as they don’t turn 17 until next March.
Manchester United are keen to lure the highly-rated 16-year-old twins from their bitter rivals Manchester City. Talks are taking place behind the scenes between the teams to find an agreement, with the Red Devils prepared to pay a fee in return. While the 16-year-old twins could only sign professional terms when they turn 17, there is an understanding to pay the fee rather than take the matter to a tribunal. Manchester City could seek a developmental fee in exchange, with the youngsters likely to cross the divide across Manchester.
Kylian Mbappe Wanted by Real Madrid
Real Madrid’s intention has been to sign Mbappe as a free agent, but these revelations could bring forward their plans. However, if they do look to sign him this summer, it will be a very expensive operation. Mbappe was not included in the squad for PSG’s pre-season tour to Japan and South Korea, which departs on Saturday, with the club making it clear they only want players on the tour who are committed, want to be at the club and that no player is more important than the club. Saudi Arabia club Al Hilal has also submitted a world record bid of $330 million to Paris Saint Germain. However, PSG has not yet accepted the offer from Al Hilal but a club spokesperson told CNN it is considering the bid.
Mbappe’s current deal expires next summer, meaning that he can sign a pre-contract with any interested party in January, and PSG would be left out-of-pocket. As such, the decision has been made to put him up for sale, so that they can recoup funds. According to relevant football sources, it is reported that it would cost in excess of €400 million for Real Madrid to sign Mbappe this summer. This includes a transfer fee, which could reach €200m, as well as wages, agent fees, and a signing-on fee.
Real Madrid is unwilling to pay this amount, and for the time being, they will not look to make their move until January. Given that Mbappe only wants to sign for them, it could be a very smart idea to hold off. Manchester United, Chelsea, and Arsenal are also interested in Mbappe’s sign.
Manchester City and Al Ahli have agreed on a fee for Riyad Mahrez
Saudi Arabia club Al Ahli has agreed a £30 million fee with City for the 32-year-old’s services, who has already agreed personal terms with the club. The winger looks set to become the latest big-name export to the Saudi Pro League. The Algeria international informed Pep Guardiola that he wanted to leave City this summer, which came after the player was left out of both Champions League and FA Cup final starting line-ups that left the former Leicester star, who made 47 appearances in all competitions last season, fuming. In total, he scored 15 and assisted 13 times but Bernardo Silva started over him in both finals, with City going on to win against Inter Milan and Manchester United respectively. Mahrez did not even manage an appearance off the bench in either match.
Guardiola is happy to see the forward leave this summer after Al Ahli matched City’s asking price of £30m. It will see Mahrez become the latest high-profile transfer in the Gulf State with Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, and Ruben Neves just a few of the big-name players to make the move to Saudi Arabia.
